William Michael Hawkins

He passed away on January 6, 2018 in Tyler.

Mr. Hawkins was born on October 11, 1934 in Eckhart, Maryland to the late George and Evelyn Hawkins.

He graduated from Beall High School in 1952 and enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1958, attained the rank of staff sergeant E-6 and was discharged in 1961. He spent 3 years in Cumberland, Maryland. He worked for Kelly Springfield.

Mr. Hawkins is survived by his two sons Brad Hawkins and wife Darleen, and Jeff Hawkins and wife Penny; five grandchildren, Josh Hawkins and wife Paige, Cullen Hawkins, Regan Hawkins, BrieAnna Hawkins and Zach Hawkins; one great- grandson Cade William Hawkins and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis Mae Hawkins, his siblings George Hawkins and Sue Hawkins Brown and her husband Charles.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, one hour prior to the service.
