

Antonia Bufi (nee de Pinto), 86, of Maywood, NJ passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Molfetta, Italy, on July 19th, 1932, she married her devoted and loving husband Ignazio in October 1954, and shortly thereafter moved to the US in 1967 to build a better life for their family. They resided together in Hoboken, NJ for 2 years and Jersey City, NJ for 26 years until moving to Maywood, NJ in 1995 where she spent the last 23 years of her life. She was a talented seamstress by trade and worked in the garment industry for 23 years, using her hands to not only exude her love of sewing, but also her love of cooking for all of those around her.
She is survived by her husband Ignazio of 63 years, her daughter Anna Maria & husband Nick Cirilli, son Carmine & wife Ann Marie Bufi, and daughter Antonella and husband Albert Bove, as well as grandchildren Terese, Nicholas and wife Tiffany, Carmine, Annalisa, Anthony, Gianluca, and Alexa. She will be forever missed by all who loved her & who she shone a bright light on.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 8th from 4-9pm at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd., Union City, NJ, with a funeral mass following on Tuesday, October 9th at 10:30am at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, 308 Jefferson St., Hoboken, NJ. Please meet at the church for the funeral mass.
