

Weehawken, NJ, passed
away on Tuesday, August
28, 2018, surrounded by her
loving family.
Born in New York on October 18, 1931,
to the late James and Margaret Tierney.
Gloria was a Homemaker and also worked for
the Weehawken school system as a lunch aid to the children
for the lunch program for 20 years then retired to come back
years later and presently worked for Weehawken police
department as a crossing guard at Cooper and Louisa place for
26 years at the same location and will be dearly missed by the
children she kept safe and cared for.
Gloria was also a member of Weehawken Elks Ladies Guild
# 1456, Weehawken American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #
18, Proprietor of Timmy’s Tavern West New York, New Jersey
and Timmy’s Painting incorporated. Mother of the year 1993
for Weehawken Elks under exalted ruler James Fuller she also loved going to casinos and the New Theater. She was predeceased by her loving husband Timothy Krieger.
Survivors include her loving children, Robert L. Hess and
Wife Cathy, William Krieger, Keith Krieger and Kathleen
Krieger. Adoring grandchildren, Joseph M. Hess, Jennifer
M. Seepersaud and husband Danny, Andres Maranges/
Honorary grandmother to Jamie Fisher, Erin McGorty,
Danielle McGorty. Great grandmother to Bryce seepersaud.
Also survived by sisters Margaret Borga and Patricia Munier as well as sister in laws Florence Hoffman, Marie Krieger and Loretta Occhupinti.
Predeceased by siblings Donald Tierney, Gerard Tierney,
James Tierney, and Theresa Iannacone and brother in law George Krieger, sisters in law Emma Weaver and Regina Lupien.
Gloria’s Life Celebration will include visitation on Friday,
August 31, from 5 ~ 9 PM at the Leber
Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd,
Union City, NJ, A funeral mass will
be offered on Saturday, September
1, beginning at 9:30 AM at St.
Lawrence R.C.C. Weehawken, NJ.
Friends and family may begin
gathering at 8:45 AM Saturday
morning before services. Gloria
will be laid to rest at Grove
Church Cemetery, 1132 46th St.,
North Bergen NJ.
