Harold Thomsen died on May 12,2007. Born in North Bergen he lived in Union City for many years before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. He was a foreman for Ottis Elevator Co. in New York City for over 40 years before retiring. Mr. Thomsen was a World War II veteran of the Navy and a star basketball player for Emerson High School during the 1920's.
He is predeceased by his wife Muriel (nee Kelly). He is the devoted father of Gail Weierstall and Dr. Stephen Thomsen. The dear father in law of Richard Weirstall and Lois Thomsen as well as the grandfather of Eric, Kurt and Karen Weirstall and David and Kerri Thomsen.
The funeral will be on Wednsday 5/16/07 at 10:30am at Holy Family Church with the interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Leber Funeral Home in Union City, NJ.
