

Born in Jersey City on May 12, 1942 to the late Daniel and Rose Madonna, James lived in Jersey City until moving to Union City 58 years ago. James worked as an Ironworker for 49 years. He also served as a Commissioner of Parks in Union City, was a member of the School Board, and head of the Parking Authority.
James’ loving wife of 53 years, Barbara, predeceased him in 2015. He is survived by his loving daughters, Lynette Marronaro and Jamie Dahdah and their spouses, Robert and Bernard. His six adoring grandchildren include James, Andrew, Gabrielle, Natalie, Bernard Jr. and Christina.
James' Life celebration will include visitation at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087 on Friday, May 6 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St Rocco Church, 4206 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
