Mary Caputi, 92, died on October 18, 2021, after a short illness. Born and raised in Hoboken, Mary lived most of her adult life in Weehawken. For the past 25 years, she resided in the Senior Citizen Building leaving behind many dear friends.
For many years, Mary was a seamstress in New York City. She enjoyed designing and making clothes for herself and family. But even more than that she loved cherry vanilla ice cream and scratch-off lottery tickets.
Mary had a generous heart and shared her kindness with everyone she knew. She will be missed by friends and especially by her family that loved her. Mary is survived by a loving daughter Annette Crossan & her husband, Kevin and a cherished grandson Brian Crossan & his wife Emily.
She is predeceased by her niece Tia DeLouise and survived by her nieces Antonia Fulton & her husband, William, Clara Collins & her husband, James, Judith Caputi and her partner Rocco Casamassima, by her grand-nieces, Amanda Nigro & her husband, Joseph, Kara Collins, and Katherine Collins and lastly by her much loved great-nephew, Joseph, and his new baby sister Cecelia.
Visitation for Mary will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 22 Hackensack Ave, Weehawken, NJ 07086.
