M/Sgt. Arthur Clyde “Art” Meier U.S. Air Force, Retired passed away on February 15, 2014 at the age of 78. He was born on April 15, 1935 in Anchorage, AK to Alvin and Doris (Reynolds) Meier. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ross Meier; brother, Alvin (Oscar) Meier Jr., survived by his loving wife, Kay Meier; children, Cheryl Benneworth, Pam Miller, Michael Cox, Doris Griggs, Wayne Cox, Corkey Meier, Robert Thompson, and Dennis Meier; sisters, Judy Foster and Joyce Moore, 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Art was a member of the Oak Island Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX. Art was a jack of all trades, master of most. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Ennichment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
