S/Sgt Beverly Mae Stephenson (U.S.A.F., Veteran)

Beverly Stephenson, born January 28, 1928, died September 1, 2014 at the age of 86 years. She was one of the first women to go into the Air-Force when the Army and Air-Force split up. She met and married Louis Stephenson, on September 20, 1953, and they made San Antonio their home and raised their four children. She then spent an extended amount of time overseas in 1980’s before returning to San Antonio where she lived with her daughter’s family. She was active at the First Baptist Church in Universal City, Texas and made afghans for her friends, after several years she had a stroke and couldn’t make large afghans, instead she make baby “Bears” afghans for Christmas gifts for the military babies born during Christmas at BAMC, she treasured the dear Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, Son Mark, Brother in law, Hank and Son in law, John. She is survived by her daughter’s; Diana and her (husband, Gary) Ellis, Donna Stephenson Ayala, Debra and her (husband, Loren) Sevening, Daughter in law, Rachel Stephenson, Sister in law, Mary Stephenson; 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Universal City First Baptist Church at 1401 Pat Booker Road, Universal City, Texas 78148 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Charles Fannin.
