

He is survived by sons David and wife Elizabeth of Bedford, Tx and Paul and wife Kristine of San Antonio. He is also survived by granddaughters Megan Roberson of Cincinnati, OH, Madeline Roberson of San Antonio, Lori Geary (Dan) of Colleyville, Tx, and three Great Grandchildren Margaret “Maggie”, Charlotte “Charlie”, and Patrick Geary.
Chuck was born in Forest City, NC to parents Mr. and Mrs. John Bostic Roberson Sr. He was raised in Rutherford Co, NC area where his Scottish ancestors the Roberson’s, McDade’s, and Nanney’s have lived since before the Revolutionary War.
Chuck left the family farm in 1958 to join the U.S. Air Force, serving 31 years, he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the Randolph AFB Personnel Center. During his career he traveled extensively, and his permanent assignments included Lackland AFB, Miami International Airport, Peshawar (Pakistan), McCoy AFB, Kelly AFB, Offutt AFB, Anderson AFB (Guam), Randolph AFB, and Incirlik AFB, (Turkey). While stationed in Miami, Chuck met a small-town girl Margaret A. Mears (Watertown, WI), they were married in 1960.
After retiring from Air Force, Chuck worked another twelve years as a Government Contractor. Beginning in 1974, Chuck spent a combined 46 years as an Usher for the Randolph Protestant Chapel. When Chuck retired, he held the lifetime record for the Most Miles run on Randolph, and had the T-Shirts from the Base Gym to prove it.
A visitation for Charles will begin at 11:00a.m. with Funeral Service to be held from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. Procession from the funeral home will depart at 12:45p.m. for a committal service with military honors from 1:30p.m.-1:50p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
