

After graduating from high school, Donna enlisted in the United States Air Force, where she met the love of her life, Carl James Luther Jr. They were married for 57 years until his passing in September 2023. Their enduring love brought them four children and a growing family.
Donna is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Christiana Joann Hejl, and her husband, James Bernard Hejl. Their children include Caitlyn Shawna Fowler and her husband, KoLee Kole Fowler, along with their children, Presley Jade, Greyson Chase, and Piper Quinn; James Bernard Hejl II and his children, Lillian Rae and James Bernard III; and Tristan Corey Hejl.

Her son, Carl James Luther III, and his wife, Anita Marie Luther, mourn her passing, along with their sons, Charles Jameson Luther and Jacob Wyatt Luther.
Donna is also survived by her son, Corey Alvin Luther.
Beyond her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Donna had a passion for crafting in many forms and was an avid collector of Depression glass. Music was a lifelong joy, and she shared her love of singing as a dedicated member of the Sweet Adelines, competing in barbershop chorus competitions.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl; second child, Shawna Lee; her parents, Alvin and Harriet Lebahn; and her youngest brother, Daryl Lebahn. She is survived by her brother, Dale Lebahn and his wife, Liz, of Alaska; her sisters, Deborah Jaeger of North Carolina and DeeAnn Steiner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A committal service will follow from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
Donna’s love, kindness, and music will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
