Dorthey Catherine Burris Sells

Dorthey Catherine Sells passed away at home on August 27, 2012 at the age of 91, from heart and kidney failure. She was born on April 13, 1921 in Stockdale Tx. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Mary Frances Stafford Burris; her 12 siblings, Willie, Mary, Addie Mae, Hugh, Albert Lee, Mable Ida, Arthur, Luther, Robert Lawrence, Lester Arch, Lloyd Wayn. After graduation from Sutherland Springs High School she married William Robert Sells and settled in San Antonio. Dorthey was widowed on September 3, 1956. She is survived by 2 Sons, Billy R. (Buddy) Sells of Bulverde, Tx and Robert D. Sells, wife Nancy; Daughters, Shirley Sells Boatright of San Antonio, Tx and Mary Cathie Sells of Dallas, Tx; 5 grand children, Stephanie Boatright Oliver, husband Greg in Dallas, Tx, Marissa Varnador in South Carolina, Cody and Cory Sells in Elmendorf, Tx, Shelley Koch in San Antonio, Tx; 6 great grandchildren, Mason, Kayla and Chelsey Varnador in So.Carolina, Brooke and Parker Oliver in Dallas, Tx, Lauren Koch, in San Antonio, Tx; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, Tx 78148, Ph 210-658-7037. A reception will be held immediately following the memorial service at Grace Community Church adjacent To Colonial Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit her home afterwards.
