

Emilee Diane Hurst, age 18, of Selma, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2016. She was born in Statesboro, Georgia to Harold and Deanna Hurst. Emilee was a Senior at Judson High School, class of 2016, and is remembered as a lively, friendly young woman who dedicated her life to serving others. She had a passion for animals and was part of the school’s Future Farmers of America program where she raised prize winning goats and sheep. She was a talented and dedicated dancer with Judson’s Galaxie dance team and also a performer and assistant instructor at Mary Lou’s School of Dance. In addition, Emilee was a passionate teacher at Grace Community Children’s Church, teaching Sunday School to third graders. Emilee is survived by her parents, brothers, Kyle Hurst, Matthew Hurst, and sister, Katelyn Hurst.
There will be a public Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 15th at the Judson High School Performing Arts Center (9443 Schaeffer Rd, Converse, TX 78109). In lieu of gifts, the family is asking for donations to be made to Grace Community Church in Universal City. The family is also asking attendees to wear pink shirts in Emilee’s honor.
Interment will be in Longview, TX.
