Gloria Louise Harter

Gloria Louise Harter, born August 14, 1926 in Buffalo, NY has departed this Earth on March, 8th 2010 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her mother Lorretta Bowers Moudry and father Earl Bowers. Mrs. Harter is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years and WW II veteran Charles E. Harter, daughter Cheryl H. Creekmore (husband Ret. Col. G. Richard Creekmore), grandchildren Tracey Cleckler (husband Eric Cleckler) and Jeffrey Creekmore (wife Jennifer Creekmore), and great grandchildren: Katherine, Cassie, Nicole, and Jeffrey. A New Yorker at heart, Gloria was the center of her family and brought light and joy into any room. She loved listening to old standards while enjoying the company of family and friends. While she appreciated the finer things in life, she was an example to everyone that true joy comes from being close to the ones you love. She was a talented artist and will be hand-in-hand with the mother she so dearly loved.
