Jimmy E. Gibson (Major, USAF-Ret) died at home in Universal City, TX on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at age 78. He was born on September 27, 1933 in Smithwick, TX to George B. and Velma Gibson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise (nee Goodloe). He is survived by daughters Karen Dawn Pizzitola and Debra Lynn Poirot, son Michael Scott Gibson, sisters Wanda Burton and Doris Hopwood, and grandchildren Alexander Joseph Poirot and Emily Ann Gibson. Services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, TX on Saturday, February 25 at 2pm. Interment will be at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
