John David Payne, age 91, passed away September 30, 2021. Surviving are his wife, Shelby J. Payne; sons, Timothy (Kathy), David (Sharon) and Jon (Twyla); seven grandsons and one granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 1401 Pat Booker Rd. Universal City. Mr. Payne will be laid to rest following a committal service with military honors at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Academy, 1401 Pat Booker Rd. Universal City, TX 78148.
