1992 ~ 2019
A Celebration of the life of Kemeth Cole Mayfield will be held on August 1st, 2019 at Grace Community Church, 701 Kitty Hawk Rd, University City, TX 78148. Service will begin at 6 pm.
Weary of reading obituaries noting someone's unexpected death, Kemeth Cole would want it to be known that he passed on from a life lived to its fullest potential, refusing to allow fear to stop him from adventure, and helping those he could for nearly three decades. He enjoyed craft beer and coffee, playing chess, the smoothest of jazz, and plenty of spice blends.
Kemeth Cole was born April 11, 1992, in San Antonio, TX to Debra and Terry Mayfield. He was a graduate of UTSA, earning his Bachelor’s in Physics degree in 2017. He worked as a field service engineer repairing large electron microscopes, a job that allowed him to travel across America and to other countries like Denmark and The Netherlands. He was a scientist, mathematician, philosopher, brother, son and wonderful friend.
Kemeth Cole is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ann and Aubrey Mayfield, maternal grandfather Vernon Garza, aunt Linda Mendez, uncle Larry Garza, and cousin Kenneth Vineyard. He is survived by his beloved parents Debra and Terry Mayfield, sisters Kasey and MacKenzie Mayfield, brother Cody Mayfield and his wife Stephanie Mayfield, nephew Orion Lucas Mayfield, maternal grandmother Billie Garza, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, his best friend Evan Roberts and his wife Wisper Roberts, plus plenty of friends and loved ones.
Kemeth was a man of faith who loved God and was baptized by his father, Terry Mayfield, on a mission trip to Mexico. His family is comforted in knowing that their precious boy, Kemeth Cole Mayfield, is now in the presence of the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, the Mayfield family asks that you make a donation in Kemeth Cole Mayfield's name to the San Antonio Humane Society.
