Mary Katherine Parris, 81, of Converse, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 30, 1943, Mary lived most of her life in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina before retiring to Texas. She lived a full life defined by compassion, creativity, and deep devotion to those around her.

She was the beloved wife of John William (Bill) Parris and a devoted mother to three children: Ronald William Parris, Robbin Blaine Parris and his wife Teresa, and Rebecca Katherine Blankenship and her husband James.

Mary was a proud grandmother to Melissa, Jonathan, Leah, Amanda, Emily, Brianna, Kimber, Levi, Jessica, Constanza, Timothy, and Andrew. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Arabella, Jacob, Bethany, CJ, Rivers, Colton, Alexander, Jacen, Oliver, Tiessen, Albany, Tamdon, Jaxon, and Tesla and great-great-grandchildren: Will and Hudson.

She had a passion for crafting, a love for her roses, and an eye for hidden treasures on her beloved Goodwill shopping trips. Some of her most joyful moments were spent sharing breakfast with family, laughing, storytelling, and simply enjoying time together.

Mary was cherished by all who knew her and loved beyond measure. She leaves behind a legacy of grace, warmth, and unwavering love that will live on through the many lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Mary’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — a cause she deeply believed in.
