

His life of loving and giving ended on November 7, 2025 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest, saying "Your work on earth is done."
Otis attended Adamsville Elementary School, Sandusky Junior High School, & graduated from Westfield High School in June 1952.
He entered the United States Air Force on March, 1953 and served his country faithfully & Honorably for 23 and a half years. He was stationed in Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, & Greenland. Otis Married the love of his life Ruth Lee Griffin on April 24, 1957. They were married for 43 years. She preceded him in death in July, 2000.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Wilson, & seven siblings, Ollis Brown, Louise Henderson, Flora Mae Grayson, Eddie Brown Jr., Marietta Pyles, Jeannie Childers, & Eunice Locke.
He leaves behind to mourn his death, two sons Novel Ellison Jr and James (Jimmy) Brown, ten grandchildren, Braxton Brown, Dorthia Dembo, Taleia Wilson, Marcus Wilson, Clifford Ellison, Kelvin Ellison, Charlotte Wade, Christopher Wade, Zachery Wade, & Jacqueline Ellison, eleven great grandchildren, two sisters, Pauline (Lovell) Robinson of Scottsdale, Arizona, & Phyllis Wadley of Holland, Ohio, a host of nieces and nephews, and a great many friends & neighbors.
He rededicated his life to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on November, 1976 and remained faithful until his homegoing (God called him home). He was an anointed and dedicated Deacon at Grace Temple of Christ Church (non-denominational) since November, 1977.
A visitation will be held on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home, located at 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. The funeral service will follow on the same day, November 12, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the same venue. A committal service with military honors is scheduled for November 18, 2025, from 10:30 am to 10:50 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
