Pauline (Polly) A Reid joined her Lord on April 24, 2013 after struggling with arthritis and pulmonary problems. Polly was born in Quincy, MA and grew up in Braintree, MA. She was preceded in death by her husband Col. Salvie Reid, a Pearl Harbor Survivor, her parents Nunziato and Teresa Luisi, her brother Walter, and her 4 sisters, Frances (Gin) Rivelli, Helen LeBlanc, Viola Saunders, and Grace DiRado. She is survived by her daughters Teresa (Teri) and Deborah (Debbi) Reid, her nephews Patrick Rivelli and Gerard LeBlanc, her nieces Jacqueline (Jackie) Windes and Judith (Judy) Barber (her Godchild), and many grand-nieces and nephews as well as Godchildren. Polly graduated from Southwest Texas State University. Polly worked at Polaroid Corporation in Denver, CO in the 1970’s. She also held several civil service positions throughout her lifetime, including working at the Pentagon, the San Antonio International Airport Control Tower, and ultimately retiring from Kelly Air Force Base Nuclear Management Directorate. Upon retiring in San Antonio, she became actively involved in supporting the local Arthritis group and the San Antonio Pearl Harbor Survivor Association, while functioning as caregiver to her loving husband of 65 years, Salvie Reid. She was proud of her family and their numerous accomplishments and always encouraged her immediate and extended family to continue their educations and aim high. She greatly missed her husband, Salvie, since he passed away in 2010, and longed to see him daily. The Lord has granted her wish and called her home to rejoin her loving husband.
