Pedro “Pete” Garcia Martinez, age 85 passed away August 28, 2016. He was born September 11, 1930 in Cibolo, Texas to Jose and Jesusa (Garcia) Martinez. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Frances Perez Martinez; children, Sandra Rodriguez, Dora Enriquez, Josie Rodriguez, and Robert Martinez; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Mingo, Jesse, Richard, and Pepper and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 1065 E Live Oak Rd, Schertz, Texas 78154. (The funeral procession will depart Colonial Funeral Home at 9:15 A.M. to go to the church) Interment will be at Selma Catholic Cemetery No. 2.
