 I know that cars were always a big part of Ray's life, but a person is much more than what they do.  As you know, I was Ray's roommate in the Navy and on the ship; we would talk, literally, for hours about the auto shop we were going to start after we got out of the Navy. I was really proud to see that you and Ray had fulfilled his dream.  Yours and Ray's personalities were a match; I will never forget the time when both of you played a trick on me by stuffing one of my uniforms with clothes and putting it on my bed facing the door. Memories like this I will cherish for a lifetime, but most importantly I wanted to tell you that yours and Ray's life together was destined to be, and I thought you would like to know that, before the both of you started dating, he talked about how beautiful you were to him including the beauty of your personality.  I miss you both and hope to see you at the next HS-9 reunion.

Peggy, I was a friend of Ray's in HS9, spent alot of time at the shop working on cars with him, I to am from Texas but now live in Illinois. Ray was always fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. I am sorry for your loss, I wish I could have contacted him after my enlistment was up.

Served in the U.S. Navy with Ray in the late 70s. Great guy! My condolences go out to his family.

I always appreciated Ray's willingness to help. He never flaunted his knowledge, but would use it to help as he could. I enjoyed talking with about our mutual interests. May God Bless Peggy and his other family and close friends who knew him best. We continue to pray for them.

I have known Ray for a long time and will miss him very much.  I miss when you Larry and I would go out every Friday night to the Bun N Barrel.  The one night I will never forget was when you installed nitrous in Larry's car and wanted to race me.  You told me you rebuilt the transmission and re-geared it and wanted to see how much of a difference it made, We ran a race and after getting a car length or two in front of Larry he beat me.  I said you used nitrous on me and I said I wouldn't use it on you.  You both said no we didn't and wanted to race again and again.  After the third race both of you were dying laughing saying we sprayed you. My thought are with you Peggy.  If you ever need anything give me a call.

I have worked with Ray for many years and considered him to be a good friend. It was great talking to him daily after work and hearing about all the things he had going on.  God bless you Ray, have a safe journey home.
