Rosalie B. Cuvo, nee Foster, of Terre Haute, IN, was born on March 25, 1934. She passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 89, in San Antonio, TX. Rosalie, lovingly known as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, lived life to the fullest. She had a stubborn nature but in a good way, always insisting on living life her own way.
Rosalie had a zest for life and enjoyed sitting at her favorite bar, surrounded by friends and family, listening to live music. She loved entertaining and cooking big meals for her family. She also had a passion for fashion and enjoyed shopping for the latest styles. While she wasn't much of an outdoors person, she cherished spending time with her "girls" on South Padre Island.
She is survived by her son, James R. Cuvo of Brazil, IN, her daughters Michelle R. Cuvo of Boerne, TX, and Toni Cuvo and wife Yolanda Sosa of Houston, TX. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Katherine Quicksall of San Antonio, TX. Rosalie leaves behind a legacy of love and is remembered fondly by her 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and cousins Nancy Rhodes and Ora Lee Pierce, both of Indiana.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her father, James Foster, her mother, Mabel Foster, her beloved husband, Johnnie Cuvo, and her son Max Ketcham.
She graduated from Garfield High School in Terre Haute, IN. Rosalie was the wife of John Cuvo, CMSGT, US Air Force Retired, with 31 years of military service, while married for 52 years.
Rosalie dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found joy in planning and hosting large parties with her husband in her younger days. Her hobbies included drawing and painting, completing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles, and tending to her many house plants. She had a passion for collecting cookbooks and learning how to prepare new meals from different cuisines.
The funeral services for Rosalie will be held at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, TX. The funeral home is assisting the family during this difficult time.
Rosalie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit and love for life will be remembered and cherished forever.
