Saunis “Sandra” Marie Smith born on November 12, 1949 in Itasca, Texas to Marjorie & Clearance Smith. She was raised by her grandparents LT and Annie Lee. She attended St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Gonzales, Texas and Gonzales I.S.D. School System. At the age of thirteen her family moved to Midland, Texas. After moving to San Antonio Sandra attended St. Phillip’s Nursing School and was a long time member of Mount Arrat Baptist Church.During this time she reconnected with a childhood friend and was married on September 7, 1978 and devoted her time to work and family. To this union one child was born.As her live evolved she joined the Wheatley Heights Baptist Church family where she was a faithful member until the end. She is preceded in death by her mother; grandparents; brother Clarence Smith Jr.; one aunt and eight uncles. She is survived by her step father HT Baker loving husband Orbia Lee Massey; children Orbia Myckel Massey and Ms. Dackaree (Michelle); grandchildren Destani, Charissa, Dustin and Dimitri; 9 great grandchildren Jalen, Makayla, Dacari, Kiley-Jane, Jurnee-Grace, Aubrey-Faith, LaZari, LaZeigh, Jayden; , sisters Norma and LaShanta; brothers Hubert Jr. and David Lewis; aunts Nellie (Jack) and Neida; nieces and nephews Robert, Avery, Kendra, Camille, JaQualin, Desirea, James and Jeremy; cousins Jean, Bobby, Denise, Angela and Warren.
