Steven Edward Tinney

Steve graduated from Illinois State University, gaining a degree in communications. He was a successful Real Estate Broker the majority of his adult life. He finished his career devoting his time to supporting children with special needs for 4 years in the public school system. He and Dallas enjoyed commuting and eating lunch daily at the same middle school.

Steve was a strong swimmer and loved the ocean. When his son was young, they both spent time on dirtbikes exploring the Nevada desert. He also enjoyed cooking and eating lobster out.

He lived in the Chicago area, Las Vegas, NV and San Antonio, TX.

He is preceded in death by his beloved uncle, Bob Zeman; grandparents, Nonnie & Papa (Janet and Edward Zeman) and his father, Jack Sherman Tinney.

He is survived by his mother, Grace McAssey; his older brother, Jack Craig Tinney and Jack’s wife Valerie; his son, Joseph Edward Tinney and his soulmate, Dallas Smith, with whom he spent 15 loving years.
