Susan worked for the San Antonio Light newspaper and was the Givenchy Fragrance Representative in San Antonio. She loved to read, travel and work with various animal shelters. As an Air Force Pilot’s wife, she was involved in many officer wives’ activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton T. Vickers and will always be remembered as a beloved wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Susan is survived by her children, Kim Dietert (Barry), Mike Vickers (Patti) and Kyle Vickers. Grandchildren include Joshua Dietert, Ryan Dietert (Nikki), Rachel Witek (Adam), Abby Moon (James), Chloe Goble (Jeremy), Candice Martin (Davis); great grandchildren Hudson, Griffin, Rylan and Remington.
She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. The family will have a private graveside celebration honoring her life at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, September 20, 2021 at 10:00am. The service will be officiated by the Pastor Dwight Edwards. In lieu of remembrances, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Texas.
