Sylvia Leibowitz, age 80, originally of Brooklyn, New York, passed away in Live Oak, Texas on November 10th, 2015. She was born on January 14th, 1935 to Phillip and Frances (Levine) Shandalow. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Linda Rubbin. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Marvin Leibowitz; children Vicki Robinson (Charles), Sheri Zschocher (Robert), and Scott Leibowitz (Michele); grandchildren Adam Sicard, Ashley Zschocher, Ana Noël (Val), Shana and Josh Robinson; brother Joel Shandalow (Elizabeth) and numerous friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 13th, 2015 at 10:15am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the American Heart Association.
A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.
