Ted “PeeWee” Fong, Chief Master Sergeant, United States Air Force (USAF), Ret., entered eternal rest on February 17, 2018 in Plano, TX. Ted was born on August 28, 1931 in Shreveport, LA to the late Waye Thyn Fong and Lee Shee Fong. He attended Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA and joined the USAF at the age of 19. In 1980, after over 30 years of distinguished service, Ted retired from the USAF. After his retirement from the USAF, Ted graduated from Texas State University and began his career with the United States Postal Service (USPS). He retired from the USPS after 20 years of service.
Ted is survived by his soul mate and wife of 63 years, Teiko Fong and his sister Marie Fong Joe.
Ted is preceded in death by his brother Joe Fong, brother Ulim Fong, sister Mary Fong and sister Mildred Wong.
Ted is survived by and will be sadly missed by over 23 nephews and nieces, over 30 great-nieces and nephews and 4 great, great nieces and nephews.
Ted was the quintessential fisherman, hunter, golfer and all-round sport’s enthusiast.
Ted’s Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home – 625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, TX. Directly thereafter, at 2:45 p.m., a Memorial Service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
