I just want to say goodbye to Amanda. I will never forget you and what you have meant to me. You brought sunshine into an otherwise dark and meaningless life, and supplied me with wonderful memories to look back upon  when I needed them most throughout my life. I thank you for that and hope I gave you a few in return.  I love you more than I could ever say.   Hopefully we will meet again some time.   To your family, I am so sorry they have to lose you so soon.  Gretchen, Doug, chris, and mr. Helton, may peace be with you all.  And thank you all for sharing such a wonderful person with me.  Rest in peace Amanda and know that you made this world a better place with your smile.  I wish we could go on anoher of our long walks together just one more time so I could properly say goodbye and make you understand just how special you are to me.    Goodnight Amanda,  I will see you in my dreams and memories.

My heart is broken. I met Amanda on the Mack and we instantly became friends.  Always enjoyed her laugh and smile and her big heart.
Unfortunately we lost contact over the years, but I will always cherish those memories that I have of her.

Amanda Brown you were a true friend, mentor, and a most awesome Sailor and role model to so very many.  You taught me how to be a Chief Petty Officer!  Love you Sister!  Wish you fair winds and following seas!
