Anne Stanley Williamson of Virginia Beach peacefully passed away on June 4, 2025. Born in Guinea, Virginia, on August 10, 1938, she was the daughter of Thomas J. Stanley and Cleavie Mills Stanley. After 37 years of dedicated service, Anne retired in 1994 from Vepco/Dominion Resources, where she held the position of Personnel Administrator.
"A life well lived" truly encapsulates Anne's journey. Her career at Dominion was fulfilling, and she formed lasting friendships that she cherished over the years. Anne also treasured the time spent at her cottage in Nags Head with friends and enjoyed the camaraderie of her Bunco group in Virginia Beach. Anne was an avid Redskins fan, and she enjoyed watching games on Sundays. In every way, Anne embraced life fully, and life returned that love in abundance.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Hazel Minter, Thomas Stanley Jr., Evelyn Miller, Donald Stanley, and Roy Stanley, as well as her nieces Audrey Stanley and Donna Woods and nephew Stanley Miller. She is survived by her sister, Marie Collins; her nephews, Paul Minter and David Casteel; her nieces, Sharon Rhodes, Cynthia Clarke, Tammy Bower, Debra Gore, and Doris Jean Wallace; and her beloved dog, Bella.
Friends and family will be invited to a celebration of life at a later date. Additional details will be shared closer to the date.
