He proudly served his country in the US Marines from which he retired. Following his military career, he began a career as a truck driver. He enjoyed Red Skins football and Nascar Racing.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy; sons, Bernard Jr., Todd, Scott and his wife Maria, and Rick; grandchildren Cory and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Rhaylind, Allison, and Dkyla.
