Mrs. Hudson retired after 30 years of government service in civil service, working at the NAS Oceana commissary.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her warmth, strength, and devotion to her family left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She found her greatest joy in time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether shopping for them, baking together, or sharing laughter, those moments meant everything to her.
She also enjoyed gardening, attending craft events, relaxing by the marina watching boats drift by, and watching her favorite westerns and crime shows. She had a special fondness for collecting seasonal bears and cheering for the Washington Commanders.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Kimberly Herff (Jason) of Fleming Island, FL; her sons, Michael D. Hudson (Kellie) of Virginia Beach and Timothy R. Hudson (Stacey) of Washington, DC; her beloved grandchildren, James, Erika, Jordan, Jeremy, Natania, Joshua, Matthew, Michael, Johnathan, Courtney, Lydia, Janae, Rayonna, Timothy Jr., and Michael; 5 Great-Grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, David Hudson (Glenda) of South Carolina and Reverend Larry Hudson (Rhonda) of Charlottesville, VA; and two sisters-in-law, Rose Etheridge (Joseph) of Tarboro, North Carolina and Becky Mills (Steve) of Lexington Tennessee.
