Christy Lynn Kessock

Christy Lynn DeVries Kessock was born March 19,1955 to Chris and Elizabeth (Bakelaar) DeVries in Paterson, New Jersey. She was raised in Port Jervis, New York the oldest of five children. After she graduated from Port Jervis High School, she continued her education and became a Registered Nurse. She married Mike Kessock and had two children Aaron Kessock and Amiee Kessock who completed her life. In 1989 Christy joined the United States Navy continuing her education obtaining her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s in business. Her career in the Navy led to her serving in many places Florida, Italy, Virginia Beach and Maryland. After she retired from the Navy as a U.S.N Lieutenant Commander She made her permanent home back in Virginia Beach with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She continued her nursing career teaching future nurses. She is survived by her son Aaron Kessock (Jannie Kessock) daughter Amiee Kessock (Deron Silva). Her Grandchildren Autumn Kessock (Austin Baker), Aspen Wahoff (David Wahoff), Jayden Kessock, and Ryleigh Freeman. Great Grandchildren Jasey Rae Kessock and Raya Sunshine Wahoff. She is also survived by her siblings Richard and Lorraine (Metz) DeVries and their children Artel (Lom) and Christopher (Amber) DeVries of Buffalo, NY. Robert DeVries of Buffalo, NY. Judith and William Talmadge and their children Samantha (Cody) and Alexander Talmadge. Nancy DeVries and Nancy Brown and their children Ashley Brown (Art) and (Angel) Heather Brown as well as great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her wonderful loving husband Mike Kessock, parents and her niece Heather Brown.
