Claudia Z. Deindorfer, 72, left us to join her Lord on November 27th after a valiant battle with cancer. Claudia was born in NYC on June 11, 1952 to the late Peter A. and Mildred Zaccaro. She moved to numerous cities including Chicago, Memphis, and Wilmington, NC before moving to Virginia Beach where she has lived for the last 25 years.
Claudia is survived by her husband of 52 years, George; sons, Peter and John; her sister, Laura Pote. She is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She will be missed by scores of close friends. She will fondly be remembered for her generosity, her infectious personality, and her ability to light up a room just by entering.
Claudia was a registered nurse with Sentara for 20 years before retiring in 2020. She had been a regular congregant at Saint Gregory the Great Church for many years before joining the congregation at First Landing Chapel for many years before becoming too ill to attend. She asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to PIN Ministries or any charity of choice that helps those in need.
