Clyde Allen Hughes, Jr.

Virginia Beach - Clyde Allen Hughes Jr., 57, passed away on Jan. 28, 2019. He was born on Nov. 8, 1961 in Danville, VA. He was dedicated to the business he built: C.A. Hughes & Son Lawn Care. It was often said that Allen knew no stranger. His infectious laugh and generosity will be missed. Allen had a passion for hunting, fishing, beekeeping, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Allen Hughes Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Clara M. Hughes; wife, Christina Deeds Hughes; children, Craig A. Hughes (Chris Spruill), Amanda Keith (Ian), Emily Barbachem (Brent), and Elizabeth Hughes (Derek); brother, Jeffrey Hughes; sister, Cynthia Hughes; and one grandchild on the way. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thurs. Jan. 31, 2019 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at noon, Fri. Feb. 1, 2019 at the funeral home.
