A lover of gardening, travel, current events and Italian cooking, Mrs. Paul was born in Henderson, North Carolina and resided in Virginia Beach since 1962. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis E. Paul, Sr. She retired as a nurse anesthetist from Sentara Leigh Hospital after more than forty years of service.
Survivors include her children Gayle Coleman and husband Dan of CA, Louis E. Paul Jr., of Virginia Beach, Stefonia Alfonsi and husband Anthony of Chesapeake, and Heidi Paul-Gonzales and husband Christopher of Virginia Beach/Richmond; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 6 to 8p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
