I cant believe that somehow between my giant move to Los Angeles  and the passing of my sister I neglected to post this...Timmy was a great guy, he always made me smile and he always looked out for me,partially because he and my big brother were good friends, we were neighbors  in pembroke and he was a good guy, when we were out of town in new orleans timmy  definitely took time to make sure I was ok and made our time there alot of fun. I have nothing but wonderful ,silly,wild and crazy fun memories of him. Like most people I grew up and went on about my life and would see him from time to time at nanny and pop Kelly's house but the memories are there and as soon as I can find all the pics I will post them for his family. I know 4 years have passed but boy this just hit me hard(I was online searching for a classmate of mine and saw his photo and clicked on it)and I with a heavy heart send my condolences to his family thanks for the memories and the smile Timmy,rest easy old friend.

I met Tim about 10 years ago and from the very first time that I met him he made me feel nothing but comfortable and welcomed I was about 14 at the time even though Tim was not technically my Father in Law in my eyes I considered him just that and I loved him just like a second father, he was the best Grandpa to Siri as well as his other two I love you Tim and miss you so much already

I figured I should post this here, I Delivered this at his Memorial.


Before I begin I would like to thank all of you for being here today, to pay tribute to my father.

For those who Dont know me, i am joshua and i am daniels oldest son.

I am honored to be here.

I am honored to be here to speak to you about my father. 

Each of you here had your own relationship with my Father, each of you has your own set of memories
 and your own picture that describes this man.

I don't presume to know the man that you knew.

But I hope that today,  you will recognise some part of the man that we all knew.
The man that is no longer amongst us, the man who will never be gone until all of us here have passed. 

Today we celebrate,  a Celebration of His life.

My father was loved by everyone and was an incredible man, but words cannot simply Define my Father.


He seemed to instantly become friends with everyone he met. His positive attitude for life
 and outgoing personality made him loved by everyone who knew him.

I remember when I was a child thinking that I had a bigger family than I actually did because
 I had so many aunts and uncles who were just close friends of my father.

My father is one of the hardest working people i have ever met.
 My father had a passion for his career and was dedicated to safety.

My father was an interested and interesting man. 
He Knew the Power of Knowledge and tried to Instill it in those around him.

My Father knew how to make people smile, he always told jokes.
When i was a child i asked why he knew so many jokes, he told me laughter is lifes medicine.

Most of All my father Has been a mentor to many people, including me.
Not only did he teach me how to be a man, and do the right thing.
Hes inspired and impacted my life in a way words cannot discribe.

For that dad, i thank you.

I met Timmy through his Cousins Marty and Chuck, he was a hell of a athlete . If I had to describe in in one work it would be smooth. He was very fast and agile, we all played football on a traveling team after High school.  He was a good guy and very funny and always had a great story to tell.  He was his own man and did not follow the crowd which I always respected.
I'm just one of many that appreciated Tim and his carefree ways.

Tim was my best friend for 40 years and we had a son together named Trevor and 2 grand babies names Justice and Enzo. Tim used to tell everyone we knew and met that I was the love of his life. We dated when we were teenagers and continued to stay friends all of these years. Tim's family always treated me as part of their family and I will never forget him. My son and his Dad were best friends and his grand babies loved to wrestle with him. I am sure he was welcomed with open arms into the kingdom of heaven to be with his Mom, Dad and sister Linda. He was a kind man and made friends with everyone he met. I told him before he left that I would see him again and that I loved him very much. Gwen

Timmy and I were cousins, our mom's were sisters so we grew up together. Our families were very close. I always remember Tim as a prankster, one time we visited them in Manassas, Aunt Graye made a yummy peach cobbler,some of us went off. Couldn't wait for the cobbler, Timmy and my brother are the whole thing! Timmy loved to entertain people with funny stories, dancing...he loved to make people smile. He was so genuinely intelligent, he knew a lot about many interesting topics. He read the Bible a lot and loved God very much. He loved his sons and g-kids so very much. My heart is broken that I won't see Timmy again here, but I know I'll see him in Heaven! I will forever love and miss you cousin.

Sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers for your family.  I remember when I first met him.  It was Christmas Eve at a fire pit with Trevor Wood.  I remember he gave my daughter a green butterfly and we made marks on the wall to show how fast she was growing.  I will miss you.

So sorry to hear about Tim! I hav fond memories of Linda & her brothers! Please except my condolences during this difficult time for your family!

Im Timmy's cousin Marty Kelly. We grew up next door to each other in Inglside apts. We were close. I remember things we did when we were two years old. Tim always remembers when we sat on the back porch blowing bubbles out of a big red pipe,something I'll never forget either. They moved to Pembroke, and not long after we did too. We hung out together, worked together, played together,traveled to just about every shipyard up and down the East Coast. Tim was one hell of a rigger, and one hell of a good man. I'm proud to call him my cousin, but more then that he was my best friend. I don't know what I'll do now that I don't have him to visit. He knew me better then anyone and I Love him. He was a true and honest man, and those who's life he touched were truly blessed. I'll never forget the times we both spent, hours, me throwing and Timmy running pass patterns. Nobody could beat us! Nobody! Every day after school we would be up at the basketball courts till the sun went down. You often told me how much I taught you, but what you taught me was Love,Honesty,integrity,humor,and compassion. I believe we will see each other again some day, and until then Godspeed Brother! The hearts you touched are forever greatful. I know mine is. I will never forget you,and you will be greatly missed. I Love You Daniel Timothy Wood!

Timmy was my cousin. My memories are of the many times I babysat for him and Bobby and Linda when they lived next door to my family. Timmy and my brother Marty were great pals. I am deeply saddened by his passing. Praying for his children and grandchildren and our family.

Timmy and i met(Sandy Tyson)in March 1989, when my son Jason Tyson was about a year old.
He and a few single guys lived next door to my apartment building in Ocean View.
I was was trying to get my broke down VW rabbit station wagon running again, when he came over to me and asked me if i needed some tools and he and i became goods friend, and we lived together, and then we were blessed with our wonderful son Joshua Wood who was born in Feb 1990, Timmy always boasted how much he loved being a dad to Jason, and his first born son Josh. He loved all his children and grandchildren,he loved all kids, he had a heart of gold. He will leave a empty space in all of us. God Bless him and all the family-friends he has touched throughout his adventurous life.

I grew up with Tim & Bobby. I think that I first met Tim while climbing the monkey bars at the playground at Pembroke Elementary when we were in the 2nd or third grade. We hung out a lot during our high school years, doing a lot of crazy things. Me, Tim, & Cindy Shelton skipped school one afternoon of our senior year to drive to Busch Garden & had a great time just hanging out. Hitch hiked to the beachfront many times. Played a lot of Foosball at Ray "Big Daddies" Sub Shop on the Boulevard and at other places.

In about 10th grade, we didn't have to be a school until 10 am, so we'd all meet at Tim & Bobby's house after their Dad had left for work, put on albums ( Deep Purple, Osanna, Darryl Ways Wolf, etc.) and crank it up full blast until it was time to go. One time Mr Kelly came over from across the street and told us to "turn it down!" because it was so loud.
Way too many memories to write about here. Way to many friends from the neighborhood gone too soon & too young.

I'll always remember Tim as confident, outgoing, athletic, fun-loving, and a good friend. 
I'm sorry to hear that he is gone.

I met Timmy when I was 13yrs. old thru my wife Tim's cousin Kim Kelly (Lashure), we all played football on the seahawks with Mr. Lucas lol, all of us Tim, Marty, me, and Chucky would be out there, Tim played as hard as he worked, ping pong, horseshoe's, he was very competitive, at anything.
