

David Graham Faircloth of Virginia Beach was born on August 29, 1934 to the late James H. Faircloth and Georgia G. Faircloth of North Carolina. After a long and hard fight to live David passed away at the age of 81 on December 27, 2015. David enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in work hard. He was an electrician for 28 year with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 80 chapter and was involved in the building of many well-known buildings such as the Twin Towers and Rockefeller Center in New York. After retiring he became an excellent wood craftsman making many wooden pens, bowls and clocks. Fishing, boating and gardening were some of his favorite hobbies.
He will be greatly missed by his family including his wife of 61 years, Linda Faircloth, his four children David Kent Faircloth, Tonya Roberts and husband Robert, Linda Hughes and husband Bernard, Tony Faircloth and wife Elnora, seven grandchildren, Renee Mills, Richard Caulk, Terri Etheridge, William Roberts, Sheena Shakeel, Shannon Colon, and Jennifer Bodnar, four great-grandchildren, Halie Mills, Aidan Roberts, Gavin Roberts, and Johnathan Etheridge. A fifth grandchild, Adalyn Shakeel, is due in April, as well as his siblings Gene Faircloth and wife Martha, Joe Faircloth and wife Georgia, Douglas Faircloth and wife Gloria, Ronnie Faircloth and wife Donna, and sister-in-law Pauline Faircloth.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings James C. Faircloth, Shelvy Belle, Judy Hillard, Martha Faircloth, Kathy Faircloth, daughter-in-law Bonnie Faircloth, and two grandchildren Zachary Hughes and Tony Faircloth, Jr.
A service will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10am at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home Chapel located at 601. N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
