

Virginia Beach – Dionisio T. Dabucon, 62, passed away peacefully September 2, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 1, 1949 in Manila, Philippines to the late Antonio and Maria Dabucon. Dionisio proudly served and retired from the United States Navy. He then continued his career working for the United States Postal Service. Dionisio was very active in his community; where he was a member of the Quezonian Association of Tidewater and was a mason with the Willis V. Fentress Lodge No. 296. He was an avid golfer. Dionisio was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Myrna A. Dabucon; daughter, Melissa Dabucon Calpo and husband Gary; brothers, Antonio Dabucon Jr. and wife Linda, Charles Dabucon and wife Rita, and Nathaniel Dabucon and wife Evangeline; sister, Josephine Tsui and husband David; sisters-in-law, Leticia Pascual and husband Edward and Rosalinda Lumaban and husband Orlando; brother-in-law, Alberto Abellanosa; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the US and the Philippines.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Church of the Ascension Catholic Church with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
