Virginia Beach - Doris Williams Edmondson, 88, passed away on May 4, 2018. She was born in Richmond to the late Jesse and Emma Williams. She grew up in Henderson, NC and attended High School in Norfolk. Doris was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and was a deaconess for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Edmondson; daughter Deborah Perkins; sister, Mary Walker, and brother-in-law Haywood Lee Walker.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Donna Smith (Randolph); son Eugene Edmondson, Jr; sisters, Marguerite Rivera (Santiago) and Joyce Moore (Henry); son-in-law Willie Perkins; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 2-4:00 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial in Rosewood Memorial Park.
