A graduate of Old Dominion University he taught for the Norfolk School System for many years.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy B. McDaniel, three devoted children, Earl F. McDaniel, III, D. Lynne McDaniel, Kerry McDaniel and three lovely granddaughters, Elizabeth McDaniel, Rebecca Robertson and Kathryn McDaniel. He also leaves a loving sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law and his canine companion, Abigail Rose. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Mr. McDaniel’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Interment will be private.
