Edwina Helen Sympson

Edwina H. Sympson, 76, passed away peacefully with her loving husband and daughter by her side on July 20, 2013. She was born on May 12, 1937 in Belfast Northern Ireland to the late Samuel D. and Georgina Armstrong Richardson. She served in the US Army 1955-1956 as a stenographer, worked as a government employee for 30 years and after retirement she worked at Ken Reid Inc. for another 13 years. She is predeceased by her son Brian David Sympson and daughter Cynthia Speaks.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles William Sympson; daughter Lesley Georgina Sympson; sons Kenneth Lee Sympson and Christopher Charles Sympson (wife Margaret); brother Derek Edwin Richardson (wife Alwyne); and 2 grandchildren Samuel Charles Sympson and Casey Mae Connell; as well as many neices, nephews and friends .

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home; 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach VA 23462.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
