Linda was born in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines to the late Amado and Filomena Juliano. In 1960, she graduated from the Philippine Women’s University with a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition. She was able to apply her degree while working at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and the Sentara Hospital networks in Hampton Roads. In 1964, Linda married her husband, Cosme, and moved to the United States in 1965. In 1974, after being stationed in Hawaii briefly, Linda and Cosme made their permanent home in Virginia Beach, VA.
Linda was a smart, witty, and loving woman. She was affectionately called “Grandma,” “Mom,” “Auntie,” “Ma-Lynn,” and “Gru.” Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, playing cards, dancing with family and friends, and of course, spoiling her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her son and daughter-in-law, Santy and Michalle of Virginia Beach, VA; her daughter, Dana Grinnell of Virginia Beach, VA; and her four grandchildren, Kayla, Jillian, Fallon, and Korbin. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Venus Gosiengfiao and Delia Farin; and her brother, Roger Juliano, along with many other family members and friends across the U.S. and abroad.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach; followed by burial at Rosewood Memorial Park, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA. The family will receive friends back at St. Gregory’s immediately after the burial.
