Ernest Deen Burns

Mr. Burns is reunited in heaven with his wife Jewel, his daughter Barbara Ann Burns; his parents Stella and Claude Burns; and grandchildren Christian Smith and Aaron Smith.

Mr. Burns was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a devout Christian and served as a deacon for many years at Burrows Memorial Baptist Church. He devoted his life to serving God. He always put others before himself. He was a great example of God's goodness and grace. His blessings on our families and friends will never be forgotten.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Mary Anne Smith; Stella Godbey and her husband Jason; grandchildren, April Hartsock and her husband William; Christal Griffin and her husband Wesley; Kimberly Broderick and her husband James; Charles Smith, Victoria Godbey and Christopher Smith. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Deavon, Raven, Ruby, Daniel, Ethan, William Jr, Noah, Gracelyn, Maddie, and one on the way E.B.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 17, 2:00p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
