Hyoung "Suky" S. Ferguson

Hyoung Suk Ferguson, 78, passed away on Sunday July 31, 2022 at home with her husband, George, by her side. Suky was born in Korea, where she met her husband George in 1968. They were married soon after in March 1969 and began a life’s journey together. Being a military wife, Suky enjoyed travel, being stationed in areas like El Paso Texas, Ft Campbell Kentucky and Alaska. When George retired in 1988, they settled in Virginia Beach Virginia where Suky found her joy in the Tidewater Korean Church. She was a member for some 30 years, as well as a 20 plus year member of the choir. She loved to sing and gather with her friends for morning prayers. Suky was a fun-loving person who enjoyed being busy, walking, tending her garden and visiting with friends. She also loved little children. Suky leaves behind her husband George, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. She will be dearly missed!
A funeral service will be conducted at 10am, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. There will be a visitation one hour prior, starting at 9am in the funeral home chapel. After the funeral service is completed there will be an interment at Rosewood Memorial Park. A reception will be held at Tidewater Korean Baptist Church, 301 Overlook Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, after the funeral services.
