Irene Joyce Smitherman passed away on March 21, 2020. She was born in Winston Salem, NC on October 10, 1923 to the late Harvey Franklin Morgan and Maude Brice Morgan. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Lois Marion, Harvey Morgan Jr., Ray Morgan, Edward Morgan, Harold Brice Morgan, and Margaret Knight. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Pretto of Virginia Beach, VA; grandsons, Jason Brown, Lawrence Pretto, and Xavier Pretto; brother, Maurice Morgan of Plantation, FL; sisters, Betty Higginbotham of Fayetteville, NC, Elizabeth Ann Clarke of Fayetteville, NC, and Doris "DJ" Morgan of Plantation, FL.
