Joyce B. Gardner passed away on July 18, 2016. Daughter of the late Ernest L. and Sarah “Maude” Bolling of Forest, VA, also preceded in death by her brother Ersel L. Bolling of Bedford, VA and sister Kathleen B. West of Deltaville, VA. She was the widow of C. Ralph Gardner.
Survivors include sons, David M. Owens (Kristal), Leland L. Owens, Jr. (Marie), and Richard B. Owens (Sandie); 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nephew, Ersel L. Bolling, Jr. (Charlene); and a step-son, Barry Gardner (Kathy). Joyce retired from C&P Telephone Co., and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and The Red Hat Society.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Family is requesting in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
