Kathryn Louise George

Kathryn “Kathy” L. Reasner George, 84, passed away Wednesday in Newport News to be united again with her beloved husband, Howard. Kathy also known as “Kitty” was born in Reading, PA to the late Willie and Ida F. Reasner. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard A. George; special loving friend, Leonard Glover; son, Willie “Bill” F. George and two grandsons, David A. George and Brian A. George. Kathy volunteered with many organizations; she was very proud of her volunteer work with Davis Corner Volunteer Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad where she was a life member. She is survived by two sons, Frank Robert George and wife Gwyn of Newport News and Timothy Turner George; brother, Willie R. Reasner of PA; two sisters, Holly A. Batz and Dawn E. Witycyak both of PA; three grandchildren, William A. George, Jeanette K. George and Michael A. George and one great-grandson, Joseph A. George. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Davis Corner Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 68785, Virginia Beach, VA 23471. The family also requests that all condolence letters shall be mailed to 5 Tuckahoe Dr., Newport News, VA 23606.

There will be a visitation Friday night from 6-8pm at Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 4pm, Saturday at Community Methodist Church, 1072 Old Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23464 with Pastor Lee Seibert officiating.
