Kathryn “Kathy” Ann Hathaway of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully December 2, 2015, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, George Russell Hathaway Jr. and Mary Virginia “Ginny” Becraft and her stepfather George C. Becraft.
Kathy graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School in Chesapeake, VA and Lear Siegler Institute in Silver Spring, MD. A career in retail fashion merchandising and management led to experiences on Worth Ave in Palm Beach, FL and the Hamptons before ownership of several boutiques in Jupiter and Boca Raton, FL. Kathy loved south Florida and building a foundation for her daughter there.
She is survived by her daughter, Jade Wolkind Mohl , son in law James Wayne Mohl and granddaughter, Noelani Kai of Jupiter, FL; her brother Russell Keith Hathaway and wife Karin, of Virginia Beach; sister Kerry Hathaway Giles and husband David of Amherst, Virginia; and sister Kay Hathaway Carpineti and husband Richard of Chesapeake, Virginia; one nephew, five nieces, and her Aunt, Betty Frances Brickell.
