Lexie Juanita Walters

Lexie was born on January 6, 1967, in Norfolk, VA to Richard Walters and Cory Music. Lexie and her family attend St. Gregory Catholic Church. She was primarily raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Although she lived in many states to include North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Washington, and Utah, she always made her way back to Virginia Beach.

Lexie worked in construction for most of her adult years, then recently switched to banquets and bartending. When she wasn’t on the clock, you would either catch her hanging out at home with family and friends or watching sports. Oh yes! She was definitely a sports fanatic, especially when it came to the Steelers.

Lexie is survived by her Mother, Cory Music, Virginia Beach; one Sister, Marie Jones, Virginia Beach; Six Children and Six Grandchildren: Chrissy, Kathryn, Dylan, Caleb, Ashley, Anthony, Sara, Javen, Brielle, William, Samantha & Brandon.

Lexie is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Kris, Aryianna, CJ, Jesse, Taby, Emer and Vanessa. With several smiling great-nieces and nephews as well.

Lexie is also survived by Uncle James, Uncle Kenneth, Aunt Linda, Aunt Betty, Uncle Mike, Uncle Keith, and many wonderful cousins, additional family members, and many friends that were like family.

Lexie was preceded in death by her father- Richard Walters, paternal grandparents- James Walters Sr. and Ruth Elliott Walters, maternal grandparents- Charlie Johnson and Lexie Rose Johnson, brother- Billy Jones Jr., nephew- Baby Richard, Uncle Frank Music, Uncle Howard Barton, and Aunt Louise Barton. As well as additional family and friends that were like family.

In lieu of flowers, as suggested, a fund has been set up at the Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home in Lexie’s name. This will help offset the cost of the unexpected tragedy with the funeral and Lexie’s expenses. To make a donation please call 757-340-1717 or 757-671-1717.
