Lowell Tennyson Edelman, 78, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on May 23, 2016. He was born in Glasgow, WV, to Loreda Edelman and Carl T. Edelman. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnn; two sons Scott (Carole) and Kris (Wendy); grandchildren Zachary and Riley; brother Sheldon; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Faith Anderson, Penni Fritz, Mary Beth Carr and Stephen Grubic; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins; foster daughters; lifetime friends and neighbors. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who proudly served in the US Navy. Some of his best times were spent on the water, playing golf and sitting in the stands cheering on his “main men.” He was the eternal optimist who did not know the word “quit.” Friends and family are welcome to a memorial service to be held Friday, May 27, at 10:00 AM at Church of the Holy Family in Virginia Beach, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
